Gooey Deliria (Adelaide/Melb.)
The Jazzlab 27 Leslie Street (off Brunswick Street), Brunswick, VictoriaGooey Deliria debuted for the MJC last July, and is a collaboration of some of Adelaide and Melbourne’s leading “next generation” artists, with Dylan Paul (double bass), Kyrie Anderson (drums) and Flora Carbo (saxophone), together with the more experienced Dave McEvoy (piano).

Schwing/Anning/McLean (Bruny Island/Melbourne) – Debut
The Jazzlab 27 Leslie Street (off Brunswick Street), Brunswick, VictoriaThis brand new trio comprises Schwing (guitars), Sam Anning (double bass) and James McLean (drums). They will explore new music by Julius punctuated with selections of Paul Motian, Ornette Coleman and Keith Jarrett. Julius’s distinct improvising style and compositions are heavily influenced by the dramatic natural environment surrounding his home on Bruny Island and a life lived amongst the elements.
