This concert is a co-presentation by Melbourne Women’s International Jazz Festival and Melbourne Jazz Cooperative 

In her first appearance at MWIJF, dynamic vocalist, composer and arranger Mim Crellin will deliver one last performance before returning to the northern hemisphere. She will preview music from her upcoming EP co-written with Danish guitarist Morten Duun, ‘Only A Setting Sun’. and present select pared-back arrangements of her debut album ‘All Our Little Boxes’.

Joining her on stage for this special event will be Flora Carbo featured on woodwinds, collaborator Morten Duun on guitar, and dreamteam Kyrie Anderson on drums and Sam Anning on bass.

Opening set – Little big band

There will be an opening set by Little big band, directed by Angela Davis, featuring Tertiary students from Monash University, Melbourne Polytechnic, Box Hill Tafe and the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music playing the music of Australian composers as well as classic big band arrangements.
