DESCRIPTION:All Talk is a forward-thinking trio formed by drummer (and 2016 Freedman Fellow) James McLean\, with guitarist Alistair McLean and bassist Chris Hale. They play a mixture of original compositions and original arrangements\, with a focus on the interplay between unconventional rhythmic structures\, free improvisation and textural soundscapes. Formed in 2012 as a workshop for their original music and unconventional rhythmic ideas\, All Talk released their debut album\, A Shorthand of Sensation\, in 2014. Since the departure to Europe of original bassist Sam Zerna\, All Talk has been on enforced hiatus.
